The Great Tauranga Duck Race 2026
The Duck Race will be held on Sunday 19 April 2026 at The Strand Waterfront, downtown Tauranga.
10.30am start for Corporate Races, followed at 11am for the Duckling Race
Corporate Ducks (all dressed up in your company colours) start their races from 10.30am.
Corporate entry per duck is $200 +GST, simply complete the online form, click on the link below.

For 2026 there are two categories, unpowered and motorised.
A small donation from your company can make a huge difference to many, so get in behind this fundraiser and fun event.
All Corporate Ducks to be delivered to the start line by 10.00am at the eastern end of the waterfront (look out for the McLeod Crane).
5,000 Ducklings for The Great Tauranga Duck Race will be released at 11.00 am.
Remember in the New Year you will be able to buy tickets for each numbered duckling for only $5 each, with prizes of 1st place $1,000, 2nd place $500 and 3rd $250. With only 5,000 tickets issued you'd be quackers to miss out on a chance to win $1,000 cash.
Local schools and Tauranga Te Papa Rotary Club will be selling these tickets.
The finish line for both events is by the pier opposite the Hairy Maclary statues.
